I remember once being told, “Listen closely to the words that come out of your mouth and through your pen, they will “give you away” every time”.
Taking time to write down our internal chatter can be helpful because it helps us recognize what we're thinking and believing.
Once written down, we can more closely investigate our negative thoughts and feelings; we can bring unquestioned beliefs to the surface as we search to find the troubling belief that is causing pain.
